It’s my party…

I don’t know why but this I Can Has Cheezburger picture just about kills me. (Click the picture to see the full-sized version on the ICHC site — you just can’t get the full effect of the eyes from the small picture shown here.)

The kitten’s face perfectly captures the heartbreak. To my recollection, I’ve never thrown a party (either as a kid or as an adult) where no one showed up, but I feel the pain of this as if I did. I mean, really feel. I don’t always have empathy for people in specific situations, but this one I feel in my heart. How weird is that.

Maybe I’m just projecting what I *would* feel if I threw a party and no one came. Maybe that’s why I don’t throw very many parties.
